If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader (John Quincy Adams)
The issue of entrepreneurship covers all fields, and finds fertile soil in all competences and knowledge, creating new and unexpected synergies
Great research results come increasingly often from the cross fertilisation between disciplines.
In the same way, today innovation is the result of continuous hybridisation between different competences and knowledge, helping to outline sustainable, tailored solutions, considering all the aspects in play.
Absolutely all areas of knowledge can play a leading role in providing inputs to, and being part of, business projects: from culture to the arts, from the environment to tourism, from health to education, from technologies to industry.
Find your inspiration by taking part in one of the initiatives on offer. You can exploit your experience and obtain useful results for helping the whole community of teachers and researchers to grow.

Knowing how to identify opportunities, a spirit of innovation, creative thought, planning, problem solving and the ability to take action are the centre of today’s political and economic debate
This is because they are considered key factors for sustainability, for disseminating innovation and facilitating the development of society.
Whether or not you wish to set up your own business, developing these skills can help to foster a pro-active attitude to seeking the best opportunities. These skills may be fundamental for a student during their university career, helping to develop a flexible, pro-active approach to managing projects in the best way and obtaining results in any disciplinary area.
Your contribution as a teacher or researcher, naturally predisposed to innovative thought, can make the difference for disseminating these fundamental elements.
Taking part in the initiatives proposed can help to identify ideas that, with the right knowledge and competences, can lead to teaching skills where knowledge and competences are transferred along with an active approach to innovation.

The process of enhancing research through the creation of spin-offs feeds a virtuous circle in the University
Developing research in an innovative key, ensuring that it can develop with a view to impacting the market in fact leads to positive returns for the University where it originates. In particular, the Department plays a key role, if we think in terms of:
each department is the expression of a constellation of knowledge and competences which, where organically stimulated, can produce dynamics and depth for all areas of research and development
which can help to foster further research works based on the evidence emerging from this experience
the process of defining and launching a spin-off on the market produces a broad, cohesive network, open to new partnerships and new research actions
a spin-off is a highly relevant element for university assessment and self-assessment, significantly impacting the research and Third mission indexes
the research and implementation activities linked to a spin-off produce positive and measurable effects in terms of employment, guaranteeing highly qualified jobs for researchers and research fellows.
Take part in the initiatives proposed, and you will find new ideas for new projects, meeting teachers and researchers who you can talk with and, possibly, create a work team:

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at 20 or 80. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young (Henry Ford)
The choice of a young person depends on their inclination, but also on the luck of meeting a great Mentor (Rita Levi-Montalcini)
