Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow

HOLAHERIS provides financial support to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow Dr Antonio Maria D'Altri to receive high-level training-through-research in different excellent hosting institutions, with the aim of enhancing his scientific expertise.
A 18-month outgoing phase is planned for Dr D'Altri at Princeton University (US). Then, a 6-month secondment is planned at Universidade do Minho (PT) and, finally, a 12-month return phase is planned at University of Bologna (IT).

A holistic structural analysis method

The HOLAHERIS project proposes a holistic structural analysis method for cultural heritage structures conservation, introducing an original multidisciplinary framework that will make the safeguard and protection of cultural heritage structures less expensive, faster and more reliable than state-of-the-art approaches. These features will allow to apply smart management to a wider range of cultural heritage structures. Scientific novelties will be introduced through the following 4 objectives: (1) innovative integration of 3D documentation data for rapid numerical model generation of cultural heritage structures, (2) innovative integration of SHM and numerical modelling for decision-making in cultural heritage structures conservation, (3) sub-modelling-based stochastic dynamic analysis for seismic assessment of cultural heritage structures, (4) modelling environmental deterioration in historic building materials and composite strengthening systems.
