Job Analysis and Design

High sustainable performance and employees' well-being are strongly dependent on the fit between the tasks to be carried out and people's capacities and motivational factors. Our approach consists in analysing job characteristics with the help of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and redesigning/adjusting it according to macroergonomics principles of work design in order to attain both higher levels of employees' satisfaction and organizational efficiency.

Human-Computer Interaction

The introduction of computers at work revolutionised the roles and type of job carried out in companies to the extent that, nowadays, the vast majority of jobs involve computer work. Despite of optimising office work, computers might entail long term risks for employees' health regarding screen displays and manual tasks, such as keyboarding. Our interest is to study how to make working with computers more efficient and safe.
