Revolutionary developers of production methods
The Group was born from the twenty-year experience of professors and researchers at the University of Bologna in the field of high-power laser processing technologies. The laboratories of the Department of Industrial Engineering are the places where we research and develop ideas, and where we work daily with high-power and precision instruments.
Involved in both public and private research initiatives, our mission is to develop revolutionary laser-based production methods. The Group's strong industrial vocation led in 2015 to the creation of Nextema srl, an industrial spin-off.
All aspects of Industry 4.0, from the digitisation of production to the application of artificial intelligence techniques and the formation of a "Digital Twin" (to control and monitor industrial processes), are our bread and butter.
