Erasmus Day 2025 - Digital Twins, BIM and AI for the Future of Construction

For the occasion of Erasmus Day 2025, on 16th of October, IIPLE organized a free seminar on DIGITAL TWINS, BIM, AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: INNOVATION AND TRAINING FOR THE FUTURE OF CONSTRUCTION, as a part of the ET4Digital project. There were five speakers speaking on the topic of their experience. Dr. Luisa Sileni from IIPLE hosted the seminar, while Prof. Marco Alvise Bragadin and Ms. Shrinija Poudel from UniBo Team for ET4D project presented the study and implementation of first generation digital twin for the pilot project; in progress at the laboratory in IIPLE; and the OpenBIM platform.

• Engineer Angelo Massafra from University of Bologna - Next-gen Decision Support system for Digital Building Management. 

The event was a great success with the presence of 50-60 professionals and students across the construction industry in Bologna. The highly interactive audience demonstrated the relevance and value of the materials presented, showcasing genuine interest in everybody associated with the SMEs operating in today’s construction industry
