ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY ASSESSMENT (ESA)

We offer R&D and services about governance, risk and compliance (GRC), certified environmental management systems (EMS), environmental footprint (product and organization), sustainability assessment and evaluation of environmental radioprotection.

We perform research and development activities and offer services to organizations.
The goal is to provide organizations with the tools to demonstrate the company's commitment to achieve a decisive lead in terms of environmental performances and to reduce their environmental impact, through:

  • Design of certified environmental management systems according to international standards (ISO14001) and European regulation (EMAS);
  • Analyses based on three pillars of sustainability (economy, society and environment), on the approach Life Cycle Thinking (LCT), on international (ISO14040, ISO14044) and European (JRC Recommendation, PEF and OEF) standards and guidelines;
  • Alignment with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN;
  • Measurement of environmental parameters, including ionizing radiation.

We ensure legislative and normative compliance through the development of thematic action plans (waste, green procurement, energy). We also offer training services on relevant issues such as renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and climate change.
The group includes academic staff with decades of experience in life cycle assessment and environmental management, also in collaboration with national and regional agencies (ENEA, ARPA).
