In the first ENCODE project Conference (Jan 25th) experts on Greek and Latin Digital Epigraphy will discuss about new competences needed by graduates and about teaching and learning strategies and opportunities in the field.

Guest Speakers: Gabriel Bodard, John Bodel, Silvia Orlandi, Monica Berti.

In the Workshop, taking place from Jan 26th to Jan 29th, students, graduates, faculty and staff will be offered an intensive training on EDR-EAGLE and Epidoc standards.

Invited speakers will offer further insight on specific related experiences and projects (epigraphic corpora; crowdsourcing and papyri.info; cataloguing and digitalisation of epigraphic squeezes; encoding of inscriptions in ancient Italian languages).
