Successful 2nd Review Meeting of the BOOST Project at ICARE-CNRS in Orléans
On July 17–18, 2025, the BOOST consortium gathered in Orléans for its second Official Review Meeting. Hosted by project partner ICARE-CNRS, the event marked a key milestone in the project’s timeline, concluding Milestone 2 and the Preliminary Design Review (PDR) of all technological building blocks developed within BOOST.
The meeting was attended by Project Officer Athanasios Petridis and external reviewer Stefan Weis, whose insightful contributions will help steer the next steps of the project. The review covered significant progress made across all work packages, with a particular focus on the development and integration of iodine-based electric propulsion subsystems.
The visit also included a tour of the ICARE-CNRS laboratories, which are internationally recognized for their cutting-edge research in electric propulsion, chemical thrusters, and combustion diagnostics aimed at reducing emissions and pollution.
This meeting was not only an important moment to align on project progress, but also a great opportunity to strengthen the collaboration among partners and reaffirm the shared commitment to building a sustainable future for space propulsion.
Stay tuned for more updates as BOOST continues to push the boundaries of innovation in electric propulsion technologies!
