We are focused on the application of genomics, metagenomics, metabolomics and phenomics in the animal production sector to develop breeding, selection and conservation programs of animal genetic resources, to characterize, authenticate and trace food products, and to analyse many different environmental footprints through DNA information. The research activities include all main livestock species, aquaculture species, wild and extinct animal species, insects, environmental DNA, One Health approaches and all main animal derived food products.
