Welcome to the AMAC group

We are a group of researchers and professors from the department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering (DICAM) at University of Bologna. Over the last years we have been exploring new solutions for the construction industry exploiting the potential of Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies, mobile robotic solutions, optimized shapes as well as advanced Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) of heritage buildings and bridges. We complement our specific expertise in structural engineering with expertise in architecture, computational mechanics, material science, metallurgy, mechanical engineers and mechatronics provided through on-going collaborations with researchers and professors from the departments of Architecture (DA), Industrial Engineering (DIN), Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering (DEI) at the University of Bologna.
