Insect-borne prokaryote-associated diseases are seriously affecting the trade and import of agricultural products and materials worldwide. The main objective of TROPICSAFE is to address three severe diseases that are affecting perennial crops in tropical and subtropical regions: lethal yellowing in palms, yellows in grapevines, and huanglongbing in citrus. Twenty–two partners from twelve different countries are involved in the project coordinated by the University of Bologna.
