Human rights and sustainable development: young people at the center of change. The NGO WeWorld - GVC is looking for students for the Civil Service

The NGO WeWorld - GVC (Group of Civil Volunteering), which has been collaborating with the University of Bologna for years through development cooperation and global citizenship projects, is looking for 8 volunteer operators, divided equally between the Milan and Bologna offices.

The Civil Service at WeWorld - GVC is a highly educational experience, where you can get to know the different aspects of international cooperation projects and get more familiar with the communication and fund-raising area of a large international non-profit organization.

  • Deadline Call for Application: Wednesday 26 January 2022 at 2.00 pm
  • Age of applicants: 18 - 28 years
  • Duration of the Civil Service: 12 months
  • 1145 annual hours and an average of 25 hours per week
  • Monthly wage: 444.30 euro

Volunteers will be engaged in support activities for WeWorld - GVC staff in the areas:

  • International Cooperation: collaborate with the geographical desks of the Department, supporting the planning and the implementation of development and emergency projects.
  • Advocacy, Policy, Partnership, Europe and Italy Programs: support the Territorial Programs experts in educational and social projects.
  • Communication and Fundraising: support the Department in press office activities, event organization and in the implementation of awareness campaigns.
  • Administration, Finance and Control / Human Resources: support the Department in the coordination and activities.

The objective of the Project is to stimulate, through cultural activities for young people, active citizenship as a tool to promote inclusion, respect for rights and the promotion of sustainable development, contributing to the construction of a multicultural society able to respect and enhance differences, strengthening the critical spirit of young people, their ability to critically analyze public discourses and their production of cultural contents on social issues, in particular migration and rights.
